borrowed a video from JG once. Showed US (NYNY) vs Sweden (i think). It was a very close game. No KD. The US team was huddling and singing kum-bay--yah. The camera was a tower cam, from the top of a swivel above a flag pole or something. Great footage.
The climax: US has disc to score (and I think win). Calls timeout. There is an argument in huddle. JG is attempting to rally troops w/ kumbayah. Various players are just wandering out of huddle... tape... just... ends.
US went on to win, but it was also the end of NYNY. It was a metaphor, get it?

for the kids reading at home that have never heard this story, sweden actually had the disc to win and a guy doinked a one-handed catch near the goal. NYNY tied it, then won I think in OT, on a massive huck from Benji to Cribber that was OB the entire length of the throw. Not sure where in this progression the tape cut out Luke, but that was NYNY's last game indeed. That is, until their only reunion team ever six years later where my team beat them in Fools finals, but that is a different story.
Your team? Dude, that was my team that beat them in the finals. Oh wait. We were playing on the same team. Yeah Coup d'Etat!
So wait, Luke's saying that Kenny D was not in this final game for NYNY? Really, and still Sweden lost? Can someone who was actually there confirm? How could it truly by NYNY w/o KD?
Once you read the entry from the Ultimate History book which you have most assuredly purchased, you will note that neither KD OR Pat King were at the game.
